Camps 'R' Us offers activities including the “R” Cade, Arts & Crafts, Court Sports, Dance, Edible Art, Field Sports, Gaga, Game Room time, Special Events, Splash Zone, STEAM, Swimming, Traditions, and WonderWorks®. The program also includes Field Trips as part of the camp experience.

Camps 'R' Us is family-owned and operated, founded in 1993 by Long Island natives Joanne and Gary Turnier, and has been in operation for 30 years. It has grown to include thousands of campers, parents, staff, and alumni, and has served tens of thousands of children across Long Island. The Massapequa campus begins its inaugural season in 2025 and offers Tiny Tots® for Nursery and Pre-K, Campers for grades K–4, and Explorers® for grades 5–8. The program is described as accredited, award-winning, and affordable, and provides summer camp experiences at top Long Island schools.
The leadership team includes Campus Director Larisa Schadt and Assistant Director Mollie Healey. Camps 'R' Us was founded by Joanne and Gary Turnier and is now led by second-generation owners Cheryl and Jason Turnier, with Jason serving as Managing Director for over 15 years. Staff members are described as experienced and expertly trained to facilitate the camp experience in loco parentis. Cheryl is a former educator with a B.S. in Childhood Education and English Literature from LIU Post and has over two decades of experience working with children, and Jason earned his MBA from LIU Post and helped shape Camps 'R' Us nearly two decades ago.
The mission of Camps 'R' Us is to be a community of campers, parents, and staff members who come together each summer to create a safe, nurturing environment that supports healthy learning by promoting physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth. The stated mission also includes building character, confidence, and leadership in young people while providing what the program describes as the highest quality, most affordable camp experience on Long Island, and to provide a fun, safe, and affordable summer camp experience for Long Island families.
