• Ages: 0–11 years old
• Schedule: Open year-round, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Ossining Children’s Center has been operating for over 120 years and was a pioneer when it opened one of the country’s first day care centers. Its mission is to create a foundation for children’s lifelong intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth by providing care and education in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. The program also serves as a community resource and advocate for families. Unique features include a high teacher-caregiver to child ratio, full-day Ossining Public Schools’ Universal Pre-K in a home-like setting, recreation, enrichment and homework help before and after school, a complete range of before- and after-school enrichment and summer programming, and low faculty and staff turnover. The Center is designated by the New York State Department of Health’s Child and Adult Care Food Program as a Breastfeeding-Friendly Day Care Home. The leadership team includes Claudia Weger, Assistant Executive Director.
