Pelham Children's Center Preschool and Before/After School Care offers a full-day preschool childcare program and before and after school care. The program includes mixed-age grouping in the Before & After School Care program, where children can assist and learn from each other. The center uses child-centric programs with discipline and policies that focus on teaching appropriate behavior and developing friendly relationships with classmates and staff.

Pelham Children's Center Preschool and Before/After School Care was incorporated in 1970 and has been serving the community for 50 years. It is a community-based non-profit center with a heavily invested volunteer Board that provides oversight, fundraising, and additional structure. The Executive Director, J. Stephen Madey, holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music and Education and an additional Masters and Professional Diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision. The Before & After Care Director holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is pursuing a master’s degree in Kinesiology. The leadership team includes Executive Director J. Stephen Madey, President Dan Rowoth, Vice President Brittney D. Price, Secretary Daniel Deal, and Board Members Neel Chugh, Toby Marxauch-Gusciora, Paula Cardona, Jennifer Pantin-Turner, Ariana McLaughlin, Kristin LaMastra, Siobhan Sheridan, and Karen Gardner, along with the Before & After Care Director.
The Pelham Children's Center mission states that it offers high quality and developmentally appropriate childcare, education and enrichment programs to a culturally and economically diverse group of children, and that its program fosters children’s intellectual, emotional, social and physical development. The mission also states that the Center strives to make its program affordable to families of varying financial means and provides tuition assistance for many children. Pelham Children's Center participates in QUALITYstarsNY, New York State’s Quality Rating & Improvement System for early childhood, and both programs are licensed by the Westchester Office of Children and Family Services. The organization notes that, since arriving at Pelham Children's Center, Executive Director Steve has forged very positive relationships with the children, staff, parents and community.
