GirlSummer is a two-week summer experience that offers programming for campers and leadership training for older participants. The program is described as “an enriching, personalized, and fun two-week summer experience for campers entering 2nd–9th grades and leadership training for 10th grade and up.”
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: Two-week summer sessions, with options from July 6–17 or July 20–July 31
• Price: Early-bird discounts are available through April 1.
Emma Willard School, which runs GirlSummer, was founded in 1814. Its stated mission is to foster in each young woman a love of learning, the habits of an intellectual life, and the character, moral strength, and qualities of leadership to serve and shape her world. A student from the Class of 2027 shared, “Once I was of age, I went to GirlSummer,” and also said, “I went to GirlSummer until I aged out to be an Emma Student.”
