Camp JCC is part of the Shaw JCC of Akron at the Schultz Campus for Jewish Life. The program is connected to a larger JCC community that describes itself as far beyond a workout facility and as a caring community that inspires values. Camp JCC is presented as a place to meet new friends, learn and grow, and set a path to wellness, and it is described as a second home within the JCC community.
The JCC celebrated 50 years at White Pond Drive in 2023. The mission of the Shaw JCC is to create community based on Jewish values by providing quality programs and services in a safe and secure environment for people of all ages. The Shaw JCC describes itself as a community for all and is open to all members of the community regardless of religious preference, marital status, sexual status, or economic status. The JCC also describes itself as “the J: A Community For All” and invites families to “discover why you belong at Camp JCC.”
