About

Columbus Children’s Theatre Youth & Family Theatre Programs include productions such as Theatre for the Very Young (TVY) that use sensory play and immersion. The programs also include the Sandbox Series, Spotlight Series, and Professional Series, as well as year-round theatre education, professional-level productions featuring youth and adult performers, sensory-friendly performances, touring programs, and scenic design services. The Sandbox Series focuses on brief, easily digestible theatre and can include a Theatre for the Very Young (TVY) production with sensory play and immersion or an adaptation of a childhood story.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Administrative Office Hours Monday–Friday 9am–5pm

The Sandbox Series focuses on theatre experiences for ages 0–8. The Spotlight Series is geared toward families and youth audiences and brings relevant, engaging works into view and includes opportunities for young artists to work onstage. In the Spotlight Series, students work in a professional environment, practice their craft, and learn from seasoned veterans onstage. The Professional Series features professional performers, designers, and technicians, along with the most advanced students, on a variety of stages around town. CCT produces work for audiences of all ages.

A patron after CCT’s production of Ragtime said, “I must say, this production was... inspiring to say the least. When half the cast is tearing up at the end and there’s a standing ovation at the end of act one? You know you are onto something. excellent job everyone. I hope everyone is deservedly proud!”
