About

THPRD Summer Camps offers sports, recreation, tennis, and nature camps. These camps include both full-day and half-day options that start in June. Summer activities guide and summer camp information are typically available in March.

• Ages: 4–15 years old
• Schedule: Full-day and half-day camps starting in June, with registration for Summer 2026 beginning Saturday, April 11, 2026 for in-district patrons and continuing until the last week of camps, typically at the end of August
• Price: For Summer 2026: A $30 deposit is required for each participant for weeks 2–10. The full balance for week 1 is due at the time of registration. All camp balances are due 14 days before the start of each camp by 5 pm. An individual's space in the camp will be forfeited automatically if the balance is not paid by the two-week prior deadline. The deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to another THPRD program prior to 5 pm, Friday, May 29, 2026.

When a camp fills, participants are added to a waitlist based on the order of their registration and are given 24 hours to confirm a spot when notified. All camps require 14 days' notice to be considered for a refund or credit. Cancellations made at least 14 days before the start date will be refunded minus the applicable deposit, and within 14 days refunds are available only in extraordinary circumstances with approval from the center supervisor. The district has a financial aid program. The fastest, easiest, and best way to register is online at thprd.org/portal/.

THPRD's Inclusion Services program provides reasonable support and accommodation that assists patrons experiencing disability to participate in the wide variety of programs and activities available through THPRD. In case of rain, areas at camp locations and portable canopies are used to keep campers dry while maintaining the schedule and adjusting activities as needed. If thunder or lightning is present, staff will congregate children in a safe place and wait until 30 minutes after the last observed thunder or lightning before resuming activities. Sun protection procedures include encouraging play or breaks in shaded areas, having children apply sunscreen at least every two hours and after drying off from being wet, and encouraging participants to drink plenty of water. In poor air quality, staff will modify activities by reducing high energy activities, encouraging extra breaks and water, and monitoring participants. If the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaches Very Unhealthy (201–300), programs will be moved indoors to an area where the AQI is below 201, and if the AQI reaches Hazardous (301–500), programs will be canceled.
