Westside Soccer Club offers recreational youth soccer teams. The club is entirely volunteer-run and provides recreational youth soccer teams to the South Beaverton area. All players, with the exception of Micro players, participate in the program using a Westside Soccer Club uniform and required safety equipment.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Office hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
All Westside Soccer Club players, except Micro players, must wear a Westside Soccer Club uniform that includes a jersey, a pair of shorts, and one pair of socks. Players must wear shin guards and soccer cleats, and the cleats may not be softball, baseball, or golf cleats. Kindergarten and 1st grade players receive their jersey and socks directly from their coach. Grades 2–8 use the standard Westside kit, and re-using uniforms from previous seasons is allowed, with players free to choose any jersey number. All players must have a current THPRD account and THPRD ID number to register.
All coaches and assistant coaches must complete a background check and have current concussion and SafeSport training. The club’s president is Michelle Cannici. Westside Soccer Club states that it is an all-volunteer run organization with a vision to grow youth participation and promote quality player development through a love of soccer in the community, and to inspire sportsmanship and fair play in players, coaches, parents, and spectators. The club states that it does not discriminate and is open to participation by any individual without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. The club also states that it does not tolerate physical abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior.
