Art4Life is an after school arts program and summer program that focuses on arts education. The program offers SIX weeks of summertime fun led by experienced Art4Life staff.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: SIX weeks of summertime fun
The Mission of Art4Life is: to provide a variety of opportunities for developing a deeper understanding of the Arts, our city, and other countries art, for it is through these understandings that we connect ourselves to our past, present, and future; to provide an expansive arts education program open to children and/or adults in a neighborhood or school setting; to teach creative thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and mutual respect through the Arts; to provide a safe and nurturing space for creative endeavors and experimentation; to enhance appreciation and exposure to the Arts through art projects and artistic experiences.
Art4Life is a 501c3 non profit. Art4Life is an after school arts program operating in 2 Portland Public Schools and serving over 200 children. The program offers open enrollment for all Portland Public Schools (PPS) students, and many local schools provide busing to the Abernethy campus. Art4Life offers a need-based summer camp scholarship. Payment can be delivered to any Art4Life program or mailed, and families are asked not to combine summer payments with tuition and to label payments with the child’s name and the weeks they are registering for.
