Big Yard Football Camp is a one day football camp that includes football camp activities, flag football, S.T.E.A.M. learning, and a 5k run. The camp features instruction from former NFL linebacker Brennan Scarlett along with collegiate and professional football players and the Central Catholic football coaching staff.

• Schedule: One day camp on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Price: This camp has a donate-what-you-can registration fee, with a suggested donation of $50.
Big Yard Football Camp is part of The Big Yard Foundation, which was founded in 2018. The foundation’s mission is to support community empowerment, lessen neighborhood tensions, and combat community deterioration through initiatives of education, creativity, and wellness development. This camp is in collaboration with Central Catholic, and all camp proceeds directly support The Big Yard Foundation’s mission. The foundation has focused on creating educational-focused programs, building local partnerships, and providing resources for underrepresented communities, with a focus on Black and Brown communities throughout N/NE Portland. The leadership team includes Brennan Scarlett (Founder & CEO), Susan Scarlett (Executive Director), Emi Lawson (Board Chair), Ellen Ridgeway (Secretary), Paul Scarlett (Vice Chair), Jeff Moreland Jr. (At-Large), and JT Flowers (At-Large).
