North Portland Soccer Club’s vision is to be a cornerstone of Portland's soccer community while supporting the entire individual of every member of the program. Its mission is to serve a diverse community by building interest in youth soccer and making it more accessible, and to provide a safe and fun environment for players to develop skills that help them find solutions to challenges on and off the field.

North Portland Soccer Club serves youth ages 5–14 across North Portland and is a partner of the Portland Youth Soccer Association (PYSA). The club prioritizes placing players with their classmates and friends to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of belonging. It is committed to being a welcoming, joyful, and safe space for every child and focuses on creating an inclusive environment where youth across races, cultures, ethnicities, languages, abilities, gender identities, family structures, and immigration backgrounds feel valued, respected, and supported.

The organization acknowledges historical, structural, and racial exclusions to communities of color that have affected access to youth sports and parks and works to remove barriers to participation by prioritizing access, affordability, and culturally responsive practices. Examples include free gear exchanges, uniform scholarships, need-based financial aid, intentional outreach and relationship-building with families, and fostering a culture of belonging on and off the field. Scholarships and a registration scholarship application are available for families in need of financial assistance, and free gear exchanges, uniform scholarships, and need-based financial aid are offered so cost is never a reason a child cannot play.

North Portland Soccer Club has changed its registration platform from SportsConnect to PlayMetrics for future program registrations, while summer camp registration will remain on SportsConnect during the transition. The club launched new summer programming, including the She Scores camp for middle school girls, which creates intentional opportunities for leadership development, confidence-building, and skill growth both on and off the field. The club is in the scheduling phase to offer training in trauma-informed care and anti-racism to coaches in 2026 and is working on a strategy to recruit coaches and volunteers who reflect the diversity of the North Portland community.

Through its Fields Project Mini Grant program, North Portland Soccer Club supports safe, accessible, and engaging outdoor environments where students can play, exercise, and connect with their peers. Funding from the Fields Project Mini Grant may be used for soccer or futsal field improvements, equipment, infrastructure enhancements, and other projects that expand opportunities for outdoor recreation.
