North Portland Soccer Club’s mission is to serve its diverse community through building interest in youth soccer and making it more accessible. The club’s vision is to be a cornerstone of Portland's soccer community while supporting the entire individual of every member of the program. It provides a safe and fun environment for players to develop skills that help them find solutions to challenges they face both on and off the field.

North Portland Soccer Club serves youth ages 5–14 across North Portland, expanding access to affordable, community-based recreational soccer. As a partner of the Portland Youth Soccer Association, the club is committed to creating inclusive opportunities for kids to play, connect, and grow through the game. Practices are held on neighborhood fields through a partnership with Portland Parks and Recreation. The club has expanded outreach to schools with historically lower participation and invests in intentional outreach and relationship-building with families to keep programs accessible, welcoming, and responsive to community needs. It fosters a culture of belonging on and off the field by promoting teamwork, empathy, and respect among players, coaches, volunteers, and families.

Scholarships and need-based financial aid are offered so cost is never a reason a child cannot play. The club also offers free gear exchanges and uniform scholarships. It prioritizes placing players with their classmates and friends to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of belonging. The club is working on a strategy to recruit coaches and volunteers who reflect the diversity of the North Portland community and is in the scheduling phase to offer training in trauma-informed care and anti-racism to coaches in 2026. North Portland Soccer Club has launched new summer programming, including the She Scores camp for middle school girls. Volunteers, including parents and community members, are integral to the success and operation of the club.
