Play It Forward offers instrumental instruction and music lessons that include performance opportunities for young musicians. The program features an end-of-the-year recital where students perform and receive trophies, as well as a mini recital by young musicians. Play It Forward also hosts an event called the Play It Forward Supper Club “On the Boardwalk in Positano Italy!” that includes a live auction and paddle raise.

Play It Forward’s mission is to ensure equal access to Music M.A.G.I.C. It provides access to instruments, instruction, and inspiring opportunities to students in need across the Pacific Northwest and offers inspiring performance opportunities. In the last two years alone, they have found homes for over 200 gently-used instruments, and over 200 gently-used instruments were donated by the community. Instrument donation starts with an online form, after which the organization connects with the donor to coordinate the donation. Play It Forward is a qualified charitable organization under IRC Sec 501c(3).
A student named Heaven Fay shared that, “I can express how I’m feeling without using words…Play it Forward has taught me that I don’t have to be nervous to try new things. I’ve learned more than playing the piano. I’ve learned that you have to work hard for what you want and I’ve learned patience. I think it emboldened my faith in myself.”
