About
ORS Youth Choir offers a Summer Sing camp where participants sing, dance, play instruments, make arts and crafts, listen to and write stories, and make friends. Each Summer Sing camp runs for multiple days, such as July 27–31 or August 3–7, and includes a Summer Sing Talent Show for students who come with a prepared act of 2 minutes or less. Each camp culminates with a final performance to showcase the creativity and music created during the week, and the program consists of both educational and performance-based activities.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Multi-day Summer Sing camps with options that include 9 AM–3 PM sessions
• Price: Tuition: $400
Summer Sing is a camp for students entering 1st–6th grade in the fall of 2026 that focuses on building community through music and arts connections, and financial aid is available. Students who want to perform in the Summer Sing Talent Show must arrive on Monday with a prepared act, which means they know the words, melody, or script, have planned and practiced at home with an adult, and will continue practicing during the week. Enrollment for the 2026 Summer Sing Season is open.
ORS Youth Choir is part of Oregon Repertory Singers, a premier nonprofit choral organization founded in 1974. ORS states that it creates beauty, evokes emotions, inspires thought, and enriches the community through choral performance and education. Under Ethan Sperry’s leadership, ORS has been described by guest artists as an elite civic chorus and one of the finest community choruses in the USA, and it has been recognized for its commitment to bringing live choral music to the Portland community. ORS is described as uniquely distinguished in the region as the only choral nonprofit offering equally robust youth and adult programs, celebrating intergenerational singing and championing lifelong music education, and the ORS Youth Choir program is described as unmatched in the region for children in grades K–12.
