Uno Dos Tres Academy is a Spanish dual immersion preschool and childcare center. The program is a bilingual Spanish immersion child development center where teachers are fluent in both English and Spanish, and both languages are naturally spoken throughout the day. It offers a thematic curriculum that incorporates children’s interests, developmental areas, and teacher-led moments.

Uno Dos Tres Academy’s Sellwood location serves children from 6 months to 5 years old. The St. Johns location in the Portsmouth neighborhood of North Portland serves children ages 12 months to 5 years and welcomes up to fifty children. Tours are scheduled for families applying to Preschool for All (PFA) who plan to list Uno Dos Tres Academy as one of their preschool options, and for families seeking care in infant or toddler classrooms who already have an active waitlist application with Uno Dos Tres Academy.
In 2008, owner Karla Elias opened Uno Dos Tres Academy in the Sellwood neighborhood of Southeast Portland with four children enrolled. In 2016, the program expanded with a second location in the Portsmouth neighborhood of North Portland. Karla holds a B.A. in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education.
Uno Dos Tres Academy is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Karla and her team believe in the potential of every child and strive to give children a strong foundation for their future school experiences. Karla is committed to creating inclusive learning spaces that honor each child’s abilities, interests, and learning styles while encouraging strong family involvement and community connection.
