• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: All-inclusive 7-day summer snowboard camp with six week-long summer camp sessions
High Cascade Snowboard Camp offers world-class snowboard camps for all abilities, with a Soft Start snowboard immersion program for campers new to snowboarding or not yet comfortable linking turns on blue circle terrain. The Freestyle Focus option is a park-focused program using chairlifts and rope-tow accessed jibs, jumps, and airbags inside a limited access park, and the Performance Focus option is an upgraded camp choice with more intense training, morning workouts, longer training days on-hill, and evening guest lectures. The Super Session gives campers one day each of snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, mountain biking, and rafting in one camp session, and the GROMS program is for campers ages 9–12. The HCSC Girl program welcomes and encourages girls in an all-girl snowboarding setting within a co-ed camp, with all-girl activities and clinics.
The camp operates as an all-inclusive 7-day summer snowboard camp with six week-long summer sessions, and campers are able to snowboard all summer long thanks to Mt. Hood’s glacier and winter snowfalls. All youth campers stay on campus, while adult campers stay in Government Camp and visit campus, and campers can choose to stay for multiple summer sessions with a short break from snowboarding between sessions. The camp is alcohol, tobacco, and drug free, and 24-hour SuperVision is provided by friendly, helpful, and trained staff members. The staff of over 100 are described as some of the finest humans campers will meet.
High Cascade Snowboard Camp’s campus includes nearly 90,000 square feet of skatepark, trampolines, a dry slope, foam pits, the Concrete Jungle skateboard park, the B.O.B. indoor skatepark building, a MaxAir Super Quad 14’ x 14’ trampoline, the Milepost35 bike trails, The Camp Outpost shop, and The Demo Center. Concrete Jungle is over 50,000 square feet of skate-friendly terrain with a miniramp section, concrete bowl, quarterpipes, spines, banks, hips, a vert wall with pool coping, rollers, ledges, rails, steps, and manual pads, and it is often referred to as “the most unique skate park in the Northwest” and has been featured in major skate publications and media outlets. B.O.B. has been completely revamped with concrete ramps and includes two Olympic-sized FlyBed trampolines, a super tramp, and an airbag. The campus dry slope typically features two down tubes and two boxes, and the Milepost35 bike trails include a dirt pump track, jump line, technical woods, mulch and airbag jumps, and dual slalom. A new dryslope and airbag designed by Banger Bags, Austria is planned for summer 2025, with jump size varying from 30 feet up to 60 feet with over 100 feet to the sweet spot.
Campers can demo brand new 2022 snowboard setups for free and may keep the same setup all session long or switch out boots, boards, and bindings as often as they like. Demo staff are described as a human snowboard-super-computer to help pick the setup, and campers can browse and shop for gear and amenities such as backpacks, sunscreen, lip balm, and sunglasses at The Camp Outpost. The drop off and pick up address for all youth campers is 59550 E. Highway 26, Sandy, Oregon 97055, and free sticker requests are available by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope. The camp’s mission statement is “Life Improvement Through snowboarding,” and its community involvement includes giving back and offering scholarships.
