• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: All-inclusive 7-day summer snowboard camp with six week-long summer camp sessions; Super Session is a 7-day introduction to action sports
High Cascade Snowboard Camp has been offering snowboard coaching since 1989 and uses the mission statement “Life Improvement Through snowboarding.” The program includes five camp options for different ability levels, including the Soft Start snowboard emersion program for beginners, Freestyle Focus park-focused sessions, Performance Focus with a more intense training environment, the multisport Super Session, the HCSC Girl program with optional all-girl activities and clinics, and the GROMS program for campers age 9–12. The camp operates with a staff of over 100, offers 24-hour SuperVision by trained staff members, and is an American Camp Association Member.
The program runs on a private, alcohol-, tobacco-, and drug-free campus with a 28-acre action sports setup that includes dryslopes, trampolines, skateparks, and a banger airbag. Features include a best-in-the-world dryslope and airbag designed by Banger Bags, Austria, with jump sizes from 30 to 60 feet and over 100 feet to the sweet spot, and an option for campers to use the dryslope and airbag for an additional fee. The Concrete Jungle skateboard park covers over 50,000 square feet with a miniramp section, concrete bowl, quarterpipes, spines, banks, hips, a vert wall with pool coping, rollers, ledges, rails, steps, and manual pads, and has been described as “the most unique skate park in the Northwest” and featured in major skate publications and media outlets. The indoor B.O.B. facility includes concrete ramps, two Olympic-sized FlyBed trampolines, a super tramp, and an airbag, and the campus also features a MaxAir Super Quad 14’ x 14’ trampoline, a dry slope with two down tubes and two boxes, and Milepost35 bike trails with a dirt pump track, jump line, technical woods, mulch and airbag jumps, and a dual slalom.
High Cascade Snowboard Camp offers The Camp Outpost shop with special edition items not found elsewhere and gear such as backpacks, sunscreen, lip balm, and sunglasses. The Demo Center provides free demos of brand new 2022 snowboard setups, including gear not yet in shops, and campers may keep the same setup all session or switch boots, boards, and bindings as often as they like, with demo staff described as like a human snowboard-super-computer to help pick setups. Youth campers stay on campus, while adult campers stay in Government Camp and visit campus, and campers have the option to stay for multiple summer sessions. The organization lists Giving Back and Scholarships as part of its community involvement, offers team training slots on the dryslope and airbag feature starting fall 2026 or through enrollment at Wy’East Mountain Academy, and makes free High Cascade Snowboard Camp stickers available by mail request with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
