Windells Ski Camp has offered freeski coaching since 1998. Campers are supervised around the clock by friendly, helpful, trained staff members, and campers are not permitted to leave camp boundaries unless under SuperVision. Windells Ski Camp is an American Camp Association Member and operates on the grounds of Wy’east Mountain Academy. The program includes a Groms program for ages 9–12, an Adult Camp for ages 21 and up, Windells Girl optional girl-only activities and skate and skiing clinics, and a Soft Start program to learn skiing. The campus includes nearly 90,000 square feet of skatepark, trampolines, a dodgeball court, foam pits, and more, as well as a Concrete Jungle 50,500 square foot outdoor skatepark with features such as a miniramp section, concrete bowl, quarterpipes, spines, banks, hips, a vert wall with pool coping, rollers, ledges, rails, steps, and manual pads. The indoor skatepark B.O.B. (The Building Out Back) includes concrete ramps, two Olympic-sized FlyBed trampolines, a super tramp, and an airbag, plus a MaxAir Super Quad 14' x 14' trampoline positioned next to a private 60' x 60' BagJump with walls varying in height from 4–8 feet. The campus dry slope typically features two down tubes and two boxes, and the new dryslope and airbag, designed by Banger Bags in Austria, is described as best-in-the-world and an Olympic training feature, with jump size varying from 30 feet up to 60 feet and 100+ feet to the sweet spot. The Milepost35 trail system includes a massive dirt pump track, technical woods, rocks, skinnies, ladders, log drops, and beginner to advanced terrain. The program uses a real mountain with 2 miles top to bottom, 2 high speed chairlifts, beginner to Olympic terrain parks, and real snow in June, July, and August. The Camp Store offers gear, special edition items not found anywhere else, and amenities such as backpacks, sunscreen, lip balm, and sunglasses, while The Demo Center offers free testing of skis, boards, boots, bindings, decks, trucks, wheels, helmets, and safety equipment, supported by a tuning center just outside The Demo Center. The Courtyard grass field serves as the hub of camp and the location for nightly activities and Sponsor Nights. Windells Ski Camp operates in a tobacco- and alcohol-free environment, and team training slots are available in fall 2026, with an option to enroll as a student at Wy’East Mountain Academy.
