About
Windells Ski Camp is a 7-day, all-inclusive summer ski camp where campers take part in skiing and freeskiing, along with activities such as skateboarding, mountain biking, river rafting, surfing, paintball, and trampoline time in skateparks and on dry slope features. Campers have access to professional freeski coaching, video analysis, lift tickets, dry slope jumps and rails, air bags, and trampolines, and they receive hot breakfast and dinner with a sack lunch, plus free items from sponsors.

Windells Ski Camp includes a GROMS program for boys and girls ages 9–12, a Youth program for ages 13–20, and a Youth Super Session for ages 9–18 that combines skiing, skateboarding, surfing, mountain biking, and rafting in one camp session. Arrival day guidelines state that campers arrive no earlier than 12:00pm noon on the first day of camp, and departure day guidelines state that campers are picked up no later than 12:00pm on the last day of camp. All flights are required to arrive at Portland International Airport (PDX) between 8am and 4pm on the first day of camp and depart between 8am and 4pm on the last day of camp, with shuttles running from 8am–4pm PST on arrival and departure days. Shuttles to and from PDX are included in the camp cost for flights within this 8am–4pm window, and flights outside this window incur an additional charge of $100–$175 per camper, per trip, with a 30-minute grace period.
Windells Ski Camp states its mission as “LIFE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH SKIING.” The camp is owned and operated by Milepost35 Mountain Bike Camp, and US Sports Camps, Inc. and Nike, Inc. are not sponsors, co-sponsors, owners or operators of Windells Ski Camp; US Sports Camps acts as a marketing and registration service. The camp is described as offering world-class freeskiing coaching and industry-leading freeski coaching regardless of ability level, from first jumps to X-Games or Olympic podium level, and it is staffed by over 100 dedicated and professional individuals.
The leadership team includes Camp Director Gregg Janecky, who is also Camp Director for WeAreCamp at the base of Mt. Hood and began his Windells career 12 summers ago, and head coach Mike Hanley, with coaches including Topher Newett, Ben Harrington, Dean Spirito, and Ethan Swadburg. Gregg Janecky is a career coach with a graduate degree in Sports Management, serves as the Snowboard & Freeski Program Manager for the Northstar Team, and is the North Tahoe Series Director for USASA. He was the founder and director of The Backwoods Project, a non-profit terrain park focused on underserved youth in Montana.
