Kids & Teens Cooking Classes and Camps includes Summer Kids Camp sessions and a variety of cooking classes such as Back to Basics, Plant-based Meals, Simple Seasonal Suppers, Seafood Feast, Ramen, and Flour Power: Baking in Italy. Kids & Teens Cooking Classes and Camps is part of a recreational cooking school that offers classes exploring fundamental skills in the kitchen and garden, as well as handcrafting and preserving. Classes last between 2 and 3 hours and culminate in a family style meal around barn wood tables, and participants receive a packet of recipes from the class. Kids and teens are broken into two groups, 8–12 (kids) and 13–17 (teens), and their classes explore the fundamentals of cooking and farming with a focus on discipline, responsibility, and hygiene.
Summer Kids Camp is scheduled for June 22–26, 2026, July 13–16, 2026, and August 10–13, 2026, each running from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Specialized classes and camps are offered exclusively for teens or kids, and 8–12 cooking classes are offered each month depending on private events and the season. Family Classes are structured for adult and kid pairs to cook together.
All equipment is provided, and participants are told they will be happier if their shoes are comfortable and their hair is tied back, with the option to bring a personal knife. The chefs come from different culinary backgrounds and are trained to educate participants on topics ranging from foraging and harvesting to knife skills and baking. The program uses seasonal ingredients from the on-site farm garden, and a weekly email from Chef Jessica shares news and the event calendar.
