Lee's Martial Arts Academy was established in 2005 and has been teaching Wilsonville families for more than two decades. The academy is led by Founder Master C.Y. Lee, who holds 6th Dan in Taekwondo and 6th Dan in HapKiDo and serves as Vice President of USA Taekwondo Oregon, along with Instructor Kevin (Head Instructor), Master Cameron (Instructor), and Master Jacob (Instructor). Masters on staff earned their master rank at Lee's Martial Arts Academy, and the academy is not a franchise and is founded and led by Master Lee.

The program follows a thirteen-step belt system from white to black, with senior stripes marking halfway points, and tests run four times a year in March, June, September, and December. Belts are recognized worldwide under Kukkiwon, World Taekwondo, and USA Taekwondo. The LMAA Pledge is recited every class, and there is an emphasis on the tenets of Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

Birthday parties at Lee's Martial Arts Academy include a bouncy house, a ninja obstacle course, board breaking for every guest, and the birthday child cuts the cake with a samurai sword. Mom & Me and Dad & Me events are held on Saturdays before Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and the academy hosts Parents Night Out, a Halloween party, and a year-end belt ceremony feast as a holiday potluck. Area schools compete twice a year in tournaments in forms, breaking, and sparring, and the demo team performs at school events and tournaments.

Master C.Y. Lee states, “I welcome you. Here you will discover that in addition to providing the best martial arts training, we also build character, respect, confidence, focus, and integrity. Martial arts is a journey, and it will have a positive impact on your life and your child's life.” The academy is affiliated with Kukkiwon, World Taekwondo, and USA Taekwondo and reports a 5.0 rating on Google with 39 Google reviews and a 4.9 rating on Yelp.

Parent and student feedback includes comments such as, “Took my 6-year-old grandson in for the 2-week free trial and we were sold. They teach them so much more than martial arts. They teach respect for their parents and each other. They encourage them to excel in their chores at home and school work. And most importantly — they have fun exercising,” from John W., a grandparent who started with the free trial. Another parent, Kay K., shared, “My whole family earned black belts here with Master Lee. I only wish I had started my kids at a younger age. We had so much fun and great bonding times in the family class.” Jeremy T. stated, “Amazing instruction here. You truly won't find a better Taekwondo school. Incredibly engaged instructors. Master Lee is THE best. Both my son and myself are enrolled.” Another family reported, “We've had our kiddo at LMAA for three years and we LOVE it! We have seen a huge difference in confidence and respect. Can't wait to sign our younger kiddo up soon!” from Kayla Faye H.
