Evolve Coaching offers individual and group coaching services, including College Coaching, Employment Coaching, and one-on-one coaching services. The program also offers social groups, peer mentorship, Arts Programming, Inclusion Training & Workshops, corporate trainings, and on-the-job support for clients and community partners.
Evolve Coaching’s mission is to support disabled and neurodivergent community members and their networks through specialized programs that promote autonomy and improve quality of life. The program is committed to helping Autistic and other neurodiverse adults show what they have to offer, with programs and services for college students, job-seekers, aspiring artists, and the community at large. Evolve Coaching provides individualized support through one-on-one coaching services, social groups, and peer mentorship, and works with educational institutions, employers, and community organizations to educate them about the power of diversity. The organization works to address and remedy institutional, cultural, and cognitive systems of oppression and to close the services gap created by systemic inequities that marginalize communities of color, low income communities, and New American communities. Its efforts include work to remedy structural inequalities that result in under-employment, over-incarceration, lower levels of educational attainment, lower levels of health, and higher levels of poverty experienced by neurodiverse people in the United States and Pittsburgh. Evolve Coaching has served more than 1,000 clients, with 92% of college coaching clients graduating from post-secondary programs and 90% of clients seeking work being gainfully employed. The program has delivered arts programming to more than 400 youth and adults aged 10 and older. Evolve Coaching has provided corporate trainings, delivered on-the-job support, and promoted the hiring of adults with developmental disabilities for more than 100 Pittsburgh employers. The organization was co-founded by Joe and Heather. One testimonial notes, “Words cannot describe how they have helped me. Within a year, I went from working a minimum wage job to starting my career as an entry-level worker at a tech startup. Their resources, friendliness and willingness to help me improved my life.”
