Educational Programs includes activities such as a forest bathing walk, ecological restoration, invasive species management, trail work, park clean-up, entry-garden care, a sensory nature walk, and a parent/caregiver education seminar. A certified guide leads the forest bathing walk as part of these offerings.

The mission of Educational Programs is described as inspiring the next generation of environmentalists. Parks Conservancy educational programs help students gain a better understanding of the natural world and encourage young learners to take part in stewardship activities that actively make the natural world better. Working alongside partners in public and private schools, the full staff of educators engage students through thoughtful park curriculum. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy was founded in December 1996. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy hosts community events, leads vital research, and offers free programs that engage over 8,000 children and adults each year, and 9,000 trees and flowers are planted annually. The leadership team includes Alana Wenk, Director of Marketing & Communications.
