About

Irma Freeman Center for Imagination Youth Programs include activities such as art classes, DIY projects, tech, poetry readings, and African drum classes. The program also connects with broader center offerings like summer camps, on-site workshops, off-site artist residencies, field-trips, art tours, and art exhibitions. Participants may also encounter community events, live bands, and the Unblurred gallery crawl as part of the center’s regular programming.

• Schedule: Beginner Yoga meets every Tuesday night at 6:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:15 pm.

The Irma Freeman Center for Imagination has been contributing to the educational and cultural landscape of Pittsburgh for over 10 years, including hosting an array of events and exhibitions. Since its inception, it has collaborated with dozens of schools and other organizations locally, nationally, and globally, and its audience and participants include a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic backgrounds. The center participates in Unblurred on the first Friday of every month, often with live bands in addition to works on display, and it offers an artists’ boutique and IF Boutique. One parent described it as a community center, gallery, and event center where they have attended classes, poetry readings, summer camps, and art exhibitions, and another visitor noted that staff were knowledgeable about the artwork and encouraged them to return for future Unblurred events.
