GoggleWorks Youth Programs and Summer Camps

GoggleWorks Youth Programs and Summer Camps offer summer camps, youth programs, and afterschool programs that focus on hands-on art classes and workshops. Participants can work in ceramics, drawing and painting, fine metals, heavy metals, hot glass, warm glass, textiles and fiber arts, woodworking, welding basics, photography and filmmaking, printmaking, and special topics such as Japanese stab binding and making a screen printed tote. The programs also connect with film screenings, exhibitions, public art and culture events, studio crawls, farmers markets, night markets, tours, school groups, major events and conferences, community rentals, residencies, mentorships, and portfolio prep.

GoggleWorks Youth Programs and Summer Camps are part of a nonprofit cultural campus that opened in 2005. The organization states that its mission is to transform lives through unique interactions with art. GoggleWorks serves roughly 250,000 visitors and participants each year through arts education, community outreach programs, a summer residency, youth programs, and summer camps, and serves more than 22,000 through outreach such as afterschool programs, creative placemaking, outdoor events, and other equitable programs. It serves over 500 established, emerging, and student artists annually, as well as people looking to reenter the workforce with new skills, and more than 15,000 people through outdoor experiences. GoggleWorks is the brainchild of trustee Marlin Miller and the late co-founders Albert Boscov and Irv Cohen, alongside a founding group of other volunteers and artists.
