Wee Care Child Development Center offers curriculum-based childcare for children from 6 weeks to school-age, with part-time and full-time programs. The program includes options for infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-K, school-age, after-school programs, and summer camp. Children in the infant program are cared for by consistent, loving caregivers, and toddlers take part in age-appropriate learning and play. The center uses a safe, fun, enriching curriculum in curriculum-focused classrooms, with classroom ratios that follow state licensing guidelines. Families receive daily digital communication with photos of children’s activities and updates during meal and nap time, and the center offers parent-teacher conferences. The program provides flexible hours to accommodate working families, offers tours for families, and has a registration fee due at enrollment along with an annual renewal fee. Certain daycare discounts are available, including an employee discount, sibling discounts, and corporate partner savings. Summer camps blend learning and fun through homework support and time to connect with friends.
For years, Wee Care Child Development Center has provided early childhood education. Its mission is to offer fun and loving care each day and to provide curriculum-based childcare for children from 6 weeks to school-age, blending years of experience with a commitment to enhancing age-appropriate learning. The mission also includes encouraging each child’s individuality, boosting their confidence, and helping them discover their unique strengths, laying the groundwork for their future success.
The director, Dana Braunsberg, has over 20 years of experience working in early education and has been on the management side for the last 6 years. She began her career as a before-and-after-school teacher with the Pottstown Family YMCA and transitioned to teaching preschool and kindergarten after graduating from Bucknell University. Her career began in the local community, and both she and her husband were raised in the area. She is a graduate of the Pottstown School District and has lived there her whole life. Her 7-year-old attends summer camp at the center, her 16-month-old is part of the toddler program, and her 22-year-old goddaughter is a fellow Pottstown graduate and a recent graduate of Bloomsburg University.
