About

Music Ministries Kids and Youth Groups includes Chiming Children, a bell choir for kids in grades 3, 4, and 5, and Youth Bells, a bell group for youth in grades 6–12 where no musical experience is required to start ringing. The program also connects kids and youth with the Chancel Choir, which is available for adults as well as high school, middle school, and college students, and with the media and tech ministry, which involves operating cameras and live streaming equipment and running audio, video, and lighting equipment for worship services and special events such as weddings and funerals.

• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Weekly options on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional Sunday morning activities

Chiming Children practices are on Wednesdays at 4:00pm, and Youth Bells ringers meet on Wednesdays at 5:00pm, with kids ringing from 5:00–5:45pm before the Manna in the Middle meal at 5:00pm and worship at 6:00pm, followed by Middle School Ministry and High School Youth group programs from 7:00–8:00pm. Chancel Choir rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, and childcare is available for these rehearsals with a request to call ahead. The adult bell choir, Jubilee Ringers, rehearses on Tuesdays at 7:00pm, this rehearsal time is a change from what was previously posted, and participants in Jubilee Ringers are required to be fully vaccinated because ringers stand beside each other. On Sundays, the broader church schedule connected with these ministries includes 9:00am Sunday School for All Ages, a 9:30am radio broadcast on KRBK 1430AM, and 10:00am Sunday Morning Worship. The worship team leads worship through choir, worship team, bells, special music, and other formats, and the media ministry supports many behind-the-scenes aspects of these services. Lynette Smith is the contact for Chiming Children and the leader of Youth Bells, Brenda Hieb is the Jubilee Ringers Director, and Sam Becker is the Worship Technology/Media Director. The mission connected with the Manna in the Middle meal is to provide to anyone in the community a no cost meal, love and fellowship, with children’s activities, healthy living information, diapers, and groceries.
