Kidventure Camps offers a wide range of activities, including Sensory Arts, Story Time, Music & Movement, Water Play, Team Games, STEM Projects, Sports & Recreation, Creative Arts, Leadership Training, Adventure Challenges, Service Projects, and Peer Mentoring. Campers take part in sports, art projects, daily awards and challenges, special snack activities, water activities, outdoor games, creative projects, creativity centers, process art, STEAM activities, Gaga Ball, rock climbing, team building, silent disco dance parties, weekly field trips, trips to Typhoon Texas, Top Golf, Battlefield Houston, and volunteering activities such as creating snack packs and hygiene kits for homeless individuals.

• Schedule: Summer camp hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with drop-off at 8:00 or 9:00 and pickup at 3:30 or 6:00.
Kidventure Camps includes different daily structures such as Discoverer Camp with arrival and opening ceremony, learning centers and music, outdoor exploration, lunch and chill time, arts and sensory play, and a closing ceremony and wrap-up. Explorer Camp days include an opening ceremony, a morning adventure block, specialty activities, lunch and free time, an afternoon exploration block, and a closing ceremony and pickup. The LEADS schedule includes an opening ceremony, a morning adventure block, outdoor exploration, lunch and rest, an afternoon leadership block, and a closing ceremony and pickup.
Kidventure Camps began in 1994 as an outgrowth of a summer program at Biron Gymnastics in West Houston and is described as 32 Years Strong, with 30+ years building character and 30+ years in Houston. The program has been trusted by over 10,000 Texas families since 1994, serves more than 10,000 families yearly, has a 4.9/5 average parent rating, and 85% of families return year after year. Kidventure Camps is certified by the American Camp Association, and Kidventure is a registered trademark of Kidventure, Inc.
Each counselor goes through specific certifications, background checks, and training, and every team member passes comprehensive background checks and receives ongoing training. All counselors are certified in CPR, First Aid, and emergency response protocols, and the maximum camper-to-staff ratio is 8:1. The leadership team includes Founder and President Mike McDonell.
Kidventure Camps offers programs for ages 3–16, with Overnight Camp options for ages 8–16 in the Texas Hill Country. The program is based on weekly themes with a unique and focused curriculum and includes lunch and a light snack during the day at summer camp, with options for afternoon extended care and meal plans, including pizza on Fridays. Kidventure describes its camp as more than camp, a launchpad for life, with an emphasis on leadership development through the LEADS program and a partnership between parents, role-model staff, and host facilities.
Kidventure established the non-profit Ollie’s Kids in 2022 and, through this organization, has operated Camp Rainbow Days, providing summer camp experiences to children experiencing homelessness. The program’s service activities include volunteering at local food pantries and creating snack packs and hygiene kits for homeless individuals. Kidventure kids camp provides easy pickup and drop off for parent and child convenience.
