About

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas Youth Programs offer programming in three core areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. The programs are based on the intellectual, physical, and social needs of youth, enhance character and self-esteem, are educational and fun, and contribute to youth fulfilling their potential. As soon as youth members walk through the doors, they enter an environment of stability, consistency, and physical and emotional safety, with Clubs located in neighborhoods where the greatest need exists and open to all children between the ages of 6 and 18, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, immigration-status, orientation, religion, or any other status.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Traditional Sites Club Hours: 3–7 p.m.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas operates 30+ Clubs across Dallas and Navarro Counties, including Traditional Sites Clubs and School-based Sites, with the note that Club members at the school-based sites must be students of that location. Clubs are open when kids need them most: after school, during spring break and winter break, and all day during the summer. Beyond core programming, the Clubs provide ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and hope and opportunity. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas began operations in November 1965, with the opening of the West Dallas Boys Club. The organization’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The leadership team includes Brian Slye as Chief Executive Officer and David Shallenberger as Vice President of Advancement. Christina Emetoh has been named the Youth of the Year by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, in partnership with Panda Cares, the philanthropic foundation of Panda Express, celebrated the grand opening of the newest Panda Cares Center of Hope at Mesquite.
