Big Thought has been a leader in youth empowerment since its founding in Dallas in 1987. The organization was established by civic leaders Edith O’Donnell and Mitch Jericho. Through community-centered partnerships, experiential learning opportunities, and robust learning systems, Big Thought works with partners to enhance community capacity to establish high-quality programs that nurture skills vital for academic, economic, and personal achievement. Big Thought has been featured by the NBA Foundation in its Foundation Friday series, which spotlights partner organizations during the back-to-school season.
