Spanish Schoolhouse

Spanish Schoolhouse offers Spanish immersion programs where children are surrounded by the Spanish language and Latin culture each day. The program uses a curriculum that includes hands-on activities and experiences. Periquito Azul, a blue hyacinth macaw mascot, is part of school events and seasonal celebrations throughout the year.

The program’s mission statement says that language acquisition comes naturally in early childhood and that children can achieve native-like fluency and cultural awareness through its Spanish immersion programs. The program states that the Latin culture is warm and loving and that families are treated like family at Spanish Schoolhouse. It also states that its curriculum prepares students with academic, social, and motor skills. Periquito Azul is described as a feathered, friendly, and beloved mascot that brings an extra touch of South America to the school and helps celebrate seasons, events, and learning throughout the school year.
