YMCA of Central Texas Camps and Youth Programs offers a range of options that include Traditional Overnight Camp activities, Half-Week Adventure Camp classic camp activities, and cabin life with age-appropriate evening programs. Campers and participants may take part in hiking, archery, canoeing, kayaking, gaga, outdoor sports, swimming, splash pad play, aqua park activities, using a 100 ft. Wet Willie water slide, fishing, art programs, gymnastics programs, and sports programs. The program also includes preschool enrichment in swimming, gymnastics, and soccer, as well as afterschool enrichment in journalism, cake decorating, art projects, dancing, and experiences on the Sky Trail ropes and climbing adventure course and a 55 ft. climbing tower with dual zip lines and a giant swing.

One year later, a fitness center was established by leasing space in a partially vacated shopping center, and by 1990 the Y leased the entire shopping center before purchasing it in 1992. The Y adopted a metropolitan structure in 1994 and assumed management of the 50-acre Twin Lakes Park in Cedar Park, opened the Hill Country Family YMCA in Cedar Park in 1997, and expanded programs to Taylor in 1998. The overall Y organization was born over 150 years ago, and for nearly 160 years the Y has been listening and responding to communities, with more than 2,600 YMCAs in 10,000 communities in the U.S. and service to more than 45 million people in 124 countries worldwide.
