theCENTER Swim Lessons

theCENTER Swim Lessons take place in theCENTER, which is one of three buildings that make up Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. theCENTER is grouped with the Main Education Building and the Children’s Building as part of the church’s overall facilities. All ministries in theCENTER follow the same closure decisions as the rest of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church during inclement weather, including full closure when church offices and ministries are closed.

The mission connected to theCENTER Swim Lessons states that theCENTER invites families to try the facility and meet the staff, and that it aims to deliver a high quality experience as an extension of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Columbus Avenue Baptist Church lists theCENTER alongside after-school tutoring and Neighbors International as one of the ministries through which it shares the Gospel and serves people in Waco and beyond. The church’s stated community involvement also includes strengthening local and global ministries and partnerships, expanding opportunities for local and global mission trips, enhancing ministries for groups such as the homeless, homebound, and widows, and hosting special events to reach the downtown community.
