Ski and snowboard lessons are provided by highly qualified instructors, and Free Student Lesson Mondays use qualified Snowflex instructors. Rentals are available for all equipment needed to ski, snowboard, sled, or tube, and liability forms are required for all activities. Every patron must fill out a waiver upon arrival, guests under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the release form, guests 18 and older must bring a government-issued ID, and Liberty University students must bring their Flames Pass. All first-time visitors who are skiing or snowboarding are encouraged to start at the beginner slope immediately after check-in, and there is no height requirement for skiing and snowboarding on the slopes. There is no age requirement at Snowflex, riders must be at least 36 inches tall to use the Neveplast tubing runs, and anyone under 36 inches can use sleds on the beginner runs. Tubing is a weather-dependent activity, tickets are sold in hourly increments in person and start at the time of purchase, and tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and have no rainchecks after the order transaction is complete. The facility uses an artificial Snowflex surface with no real snow, there are 2 inches of foam cushioning underneath the Snowflex material, clothing can become damp from the slope’s misting system, and covering knees and elbows is highly recommended because Snowflex can be abrasive to bare skin. The Barrick-Falwell Lodge is available for reservations by Liberty and local community members for business meetings, personal parties, and more.
