Virginia Outside offers kids activities that include biking, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. The program includes summer camps, overnight camps, and school year programs. Whether kids are biking, kayaking, fishing, or hiking, the focus is on having fun in the outdoors.

Since 2005, Virginia Outside has made it its mission to introduce thousands of kids to the outdoors. The leadership team includes Owner and Camp Director Thomas Huss, Camp Manager Dylan Norvell, and Founder Tee Clarkson. Thomas attended Old Dominion University, graduating in 2000 with a degree in history and education, earned a Post-Masters in Educational Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth, and became a National Board Certified Teacher. Dylan attended Washington and Lee University, graduating with a degree in Geology and Environmental Science. Tee now owns and operates a conservation consulting business, Atoka Conservation Exchange, working with landowners to protect properties throughout the state. Virginia Outside grew out of a love of the James River Park and a desire for children to have the opportunity to spend time outdoors.
