FaithKids and Awana states that it is “Helping kids to live a life following Jesus” and describes itself as a safe, fun, Christ-centered environment that partners with parents to help children understand and grow in their relationship with Jesus. The Infant Room is described as providing a calm, nurturing environment, the 2’s Room is described as being for active, curious toddlers who learn through hands-on play, and the Preschool Room includes a take-home sheet and mini discipleship activity. The school age program includes weekly invitations to express personal faith in Jesus and the message of the gospel, and Refuge 6 includes worship in the main auditorium loft followed by classroom discussion on scripture. All staff and volunteers have been thoroughly background checked, and the children’s area is described as secure with the ability to communicate to parents during the service if they are needed. Child Dedication services happen twice a year in the spring and fall.

Missional Communities are described as small gatherings of people and families from the church that meet to share meals, tell stories, read the Bible, challenge and encourage one another, and serve their neighbors, and they are described as the core element of FCC’s discipleship. The leadership team for children’s ministries includes Children’s Ministries Coordinator Elizabeth Reeves, Children’s Ministries Director Shannon Christopher, and Pastor Tim Kurtz.
