Camp Createability

Camp Createability offers visual arts, digital media training, animation, Createability Arts, virtual art workshops, 1:1 sessions, recreational/day programming, transition programming, and vocational training programs. The program includes art projects, exhibit and sale opportunities, individualized instruction, and work in the studio or virtually. It also uses Blender and Adobe software for animation, and the offerings include art, digital media, animation, visual effects, filmmaking, and editing.

Programs

• Visual Arts Program — All ages of all abilities; virtual workshops are for ages 7-35 · Weekly in-person or virtual sessions; flexible schedule · Participants can work in the studio or virtually. It includes art projects, exhibit/sale opportunities, and individualized instruction.
• Full and Part-time Digital Media Training — Young adults with autism or other disorders · Full-time or part-time
• Animation — Learn to create animated cartoons, characters, and objects using Blender and Adobe software.
• Vocational Training Programs — Young adults with Autism or other disabilities · Options include art, digital media, animation, visual effects, filmmaking and editing.
• Camp Createability Media Lab — Individuals with Autism or other disabilities
• Createability Arts — Paint, draw, sculpt, and bring project ideas to life.
• Transition Programming — Individuals ages 16+ · Designed for students in transition programs through their school district and for students searching for a day program or vocational program as they move into adult life.
• Vocational/Supported Self Employment
• Virtual Art Workshops — Ages 7-35 · Weekly virtual sessions
• 1:1 Sessions — Any age or skill level · More individualized approach; preferred for students who would rather work alone than in a group setting.
• Recreational/Day Programming — Individuals work in any artistic medium they choose and may develop independence, daily living skills, communication skills, social interaction, teamwork, and creative problem solving.

About the provider

Camp Createability was formed in 2012 after owner Debbie Armstrong acted on a hunch from her work with individuals with Autism. The mission is to provide children, teens, and adults with Autism or other disabilities with individualized instruction and hands-on experience in the Arts and Entertainment field.

Programming and support can be covered by CLTS, IRIS, Family Care or Private Pay. A team meeting may be required for vocational/supported self employment support services. Registration is mentioned.
