Madison School & Community Recreation is a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District and is the public recreation provider for all MMSD residents. Its mission states that MSCR will enhance the quality of life for individuals in the Madison Metropolitan School District and for the community by providing recreation and enrichment opportunities year-round that are accessible to all. MSCR has been serving Madison since 1926 and is marking the MSCR Centennial: Celebrating 100 years of Recreation. The organization offers a variety of programs for all ages since 1926, including youth sports leagues that encourage athletic activities and outdoor fun. MSCR states that it is a school/recreation district that values and celebrates diversity unequivocally, and that it stands by its immigrant participants, families and staff, its students and participants with disabilities and their families, and its trans participants, staff and families. MSCR also offers a Legends of Lambeau trip that includes exploring exclusive areas of the stadium, walking through the Packers' game-day tunnel, visiting the Hall of Fame, and time in Titletown with lunch and transportation included. A bird watching event is offered in collaboration with @natureeverywheremadison.
