About

Thrive3 Basketball Training offers basketball training, camps, coaches clinics, and mental skills training services for basketball players. The program states that it creates game-changing experiences that crossover from the court to life and that it develops people, not just players. Every training session or camp is customized to meet the individual needs of each player, with coaches evaluating, giving feedback, and creating custom micro-drills on the fly, and they state that they create skills, not drills.

Thrive3 Basketball Training was started by Mike Lee with one basketball camp in 2003 and has grown from his college apartment to an international brand. The program’s mission statement is, “We transform people. Not just players.” Thrive3 states that every drill is adjusted so that if it is too easy players are challenged, and if it is too difficult the staff breaks down the skill on the player’s level, and the program is described as trusted by “Basketball’s 1%.”

The leadership team includes Mike Lee (Founder/CEO), Luke Meier (Director of Training), Drew Windler (Skill Development Trainer), Ben Fischer (Skill Development Trainer), Sam Price (Girls Division Director), and Rainer Meisterjahn (Mental Coach | Courtex Performance). Mike Lee was awarded a scholarship to attend the Fuqua School of Business and Coach K Leadership Conference, served as the Assistant Director for the inaugural Stephen Curry Skills Academy, worked events for NIKE Basketball, is a keynote speaker, and is the author of UN/TRAIN. Luke Meier is a former college player and coach at UW-Eau Claire, has directed hundreds of camps, has spoken at numerous coaches clinics, and has trained players up to the NBA level. Drew Windler is a 2014 graduate of Belmont University who started every game in his senior season, led the team in three-point field goal percentage, was previously a 3rd team All-SoCon performer at Samford University, and is a former overseas professional. Ben Fischer is a former college player and a current assistant coach at Milwaukee Pius XI. Sam Price trained with Mike Lee since her sophomore year in high school, went on to play NCAA Division I and II basketball, was All-League at Saint Cloud State, joined the 1,000 point club, and holds NCAA Division II records for career and single season free throw percentage. Rainer Meisterjahn has provided mental skills training services for basketball players at all levels, including NCAA Division I, FIBA, and the NBA, and is the owner of Courtex Performance, which serves players and coaches from across the world.
