About

Thrive3 Basketball Training offers basketball training and skills training that includes camps, coaches clinics, mental skills training services for basketball players, and keynote speaking. The program focuses on specific basketball skills such as ball handling, footwork, and feel for the game, and uses custom micro-drills that are created on the fly. Every training session or camp is customized to meet the individual needs of each player and includes individual one-on-one attention, even in group settings.

Thrive3 Basketball Training states that it transforms people, not just players, and creates game-changing experiences that crossover from the court to life. Its philosophy is that real skill work builds a foundation with handle, footwork, and feel to improve basketball IQ and decision making, and that most skill work does not get the results players want if it does not translate to games. The program notes that it is trusted by “Basketball’s 1%.”

Founder and CEO Mike Lee started with one basketball camp in 2003 and grew Thrive3 from his college apartment to an international brand. Mike Lee was awarded a scholarship to attend the Fuqua School of Business and Coach K Leadership Conference, served as Assistant Director for the inaugural Stephen Curry Skills Academy, worked events for NIKE Basketball, is a keynote speaker, and is the author of UN/TRAIN. Director of Training Luke Meier is a former college player and coach at UW–Eau Claire, has directed hundreds of camps, spoken at numerous coaches clinics, and trained players up to the NBA level. Skill Development Trainer Drew Windler is a 2014 graduate of Belmont University, started every game in his senior season and led the team in three-point field goal percentage, was a 3rd team All-SoCon performer at Samford University, and is a former overseas professional. Skill Development Trainer Ben Fischer is a former college player and current assistant coach at Milwaukee Pius XI. Girls Division Director Sam Price trained with Mike Lee starting as a high school sophomore, played NCAA Division I and II basketball, was All-League at Saint Cloud State, joined the 1,000 point club, and holds NCAA Division II records for career and single season free throw percentage. Mental Coach Rainer Meisterjahn has provided mental skills training services for basketball players at all levels, including NCAA Division I, FIBA, and the NBA, and is the owner of Courtex Performance.
