Walnut Country Preschool

Walnut Country Preschool offers a child-centered, play-based curriculum. The program states that children work on motor abilities, thinking skills, and healthy interactions with peers, and it lists social, emotional, sensory, cognitive, and physical development, along with creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Programs

• 4 Day a week class — ages 3-5 years old; children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2026 · Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-Noon · $900 per month · 2026-2027 tuition is $900/month. All children must be potty-trained to attend. Exceptions regarding age/preschool readiness will be made at Director discretion.

About the provider

Walnut Country Preschool has served families in the Concord/Clayton/Walnut Creek area for 50 years and has more than 50 years of history. The leadership team includes Mrs. Kelly, Director; Mrs. Erika, Head Teacher; Mrs. Jessica, Teacher; and Mrs. Alyce, Teacher. Parents may assist in the classroom, help with projects, and volunteer as Fundraising Lead, Room Parent, or event volunteer. The Board of Directors is made up of parents of currently enrolled children.

The preschool operates on a nondiscriminatory basis. Registration applications are prioritized on a first come, first serve basis. All children must be potty-trained to attend. Exceptions regarding age/preschool readiness will be made at Director discretion. Tuition is due on the 1st of each month; after the 7th day a late fee will be added.
