Ballet For All Kids

Ballet For All Kids teaches classical ballet technique and other dance styles using The Schlachte Method™, a patented and certified curriculum developed to accommodate all abilities, body types, and learning styles. The program uses this method to teach the arts to individuals of all abilities and learning styles in an inclusive environment, with a less restrictive setting paired with individualized attention and support.

Ballet For All Kids is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 and has been trusted by hundreds of parents and volunteers for over 15 years. The program’s brand name and mission have been featured in the EveryBODY Dance Documentary, which was voted Best Documentary on AppleTV. The leadership team includes Founding Director Bonnie Schlachte; Ballet Instructors Brett Weidlich and Katherine Lin; Technology Admin Kailie Katz; and Volunteer Coordinator Tess Schlachte. Teachers are trained at institutions such as the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory Choreographic Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Joffrey School of Ballet, and instructor Brett Weidlich holds a double Master of Arts degree in Choreography and as Ballet Master from the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory Choreographic Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia.
