About
ArtHatch Teen Arts Program offers free art classes and studio space to teenagers, along with free workshops, mentorship, and studio experience. Teen artists have access to free exhibition space, art supplies, studio space, and education, and can take part in exhibitions and creative opportunities for teens. The program also connects teens with a broader arts space that includes resident artist studios, open studios, and workshops.

• Schedule: Open Tuesday–Friday 11am–5pm and Saturday 12pm–5pm, with Second Saturday receptions in the evening
ArtHatch Teen Arts Program is part of a nonprofit arts space where artists create, exhibit, teach, learn, and build community through resident artist studios, exhibitions, open studios, workshops, and free teen arts programming. The mission of ArtHatch includes producing free monthly opening receptions for the public to enjoy art, watch artists create, listen to live music, and ask questions, and providing affordable, juried exhibition space and affordable studio spaces for local artists and creative small businesses. The mission also includes providing free exhibition space, art supplies, studio space, and education for teen artists, as well as networking and business development opportunities for artists and small businesses. ArtHatch hosts Second Saturday receptions with art, open studios, live music, and community, and features ArtHatch Escape Rooms puzzles, the Last Spot Art Bar with a ceiling that lights up to match art videos, and a Micro Gallery with artworks 10 x 10 or smaller. ArtHatch is a 501(c)3 organization and is recognized with Platinum status on Candid. ArtHatch was added to the complex in 2010 and operates with leadership from CEO and founder Melissa Inez Walker, who holds a BFA in photography and art history from the College of Santa Fe, alongside staff members with training in illustration, architecture, general contracting, and lighting design. Donations support free teen arts programming, artist opportunities, exhibitions, live music, gallery improvements, and public art projects that support the local creative community.
