Center Stage Productions

Center Stage Productions offers musical theatre for young people, including classes and production opportunities. The program is run by a non-profit youth theatre company that focuses on musical theatre experiences for kids and teens in a fun and professional stage environment. Anyone who wants to perform can participate, as the program does not make cuts for its productions and classes.

Center Stage Productions was started in 2004. The organization’s mission is to engage young people in musical theatre created in a safe and inclusive environment. The board of directors and staff are committed to fairness and equal opportunity for all performers, including every gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religion, race, and ethnicity, and the company has a long history of non-traditional casting based on these commitments. Every request for tuition aid is granted, and the organization is committed to making its programming more accessible financially, providing EDI and other educational training to leaders in the CSP community, offering more diverse programming and educational opportunities, actively seeking feedback from the CSP community, and building a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable space for all.

Parents and participants have shared that they feel CSP is a safe place for kids to express themselves and that it felt like home right away. Testimonials describe an open, inclusive experience for performers and parents, a sense of having a second family, and appreciation for chances at lead roles regardless of ethnicity or impairments. Families and volunteers have also described the experience as amazing and have noted the warmth surrounding the cast, crew, artistic team, and productions.
