About
Center Stage Productions Summer Theatre Camp focuses on musical theatre, with campers taking part in acting, singing, and dance. Campers take part in every aspect of putting together a live production, and anyone who wants to perform can, as the program does not make cuts. The camp session ends with a showcase on July 10, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
• Ages: 7–14 years old
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 am–3 pm, from June 22–July 10, 2025 (no camp on Friday, July 3)
• Price: Tuition: $750 (10% off sibling tuition). Limited scholarships are available. Payment plans are available if registered by April 12th.
Center Stage Productions was started in 2004 by six women in San Diego County: Delnora, Gia, Coni, Tiffini, Mandy, and Lisa. Its mission is to engage young people in musical theatre created in a safe and inclusive environment. The organization is part of North County San Diego Youth Theatre and provides an outreach program to Escondido schools.
The camp uses non-traditional casting that gives equal opportunity to every gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religion, race, and ethnicity. Every request for tuition aid is granted. Parent and performer comments describe the program as an arts community in Escondido that feels open and inclusive, with performers and families noting experiences such as feeling like they have a second family, seeing children given a chance at a lead regardless of ethnicity or impairments, and describing the overall experience as amazing.
