Escondido Choral Arts Foundation

Escondido Choral Arts Foundation includes The Center Chorale and The Center Children’s and Youth Chorus, where singers participate in the art of choral singing with peers and learn about music in a friendly and fun environment. Singers perform choral literature of past masterworks, Twentieth and Twenty-first Century compositions in a variety of styles, an oratorio by Henrich Schutz, compositions of favorite Irish composers, a musical experience from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and America’s Anniversary Concert for children in honor of the 250th birthday of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The program involves performing several times during the season in many different venues in the community.

The Center Chorale is an ensemble of choral singers endorsed by the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. Escondido Choral Arts Foundation states that it has been hard at work to be the home of a community choir and a flagship musical resource for North County San Diego, with a mission to enrich lives through the art of choral singing and providing musical opportunities in the community. The Center Chorale is described as dedicated to excellence in performance and education and to preserving the tradition of singing as an expression of art. The Center Children’s and Youth Chorus performs several times during the season in many different venues in the community, including the California Center for the Arts concert hall and performance theatre. The ensemble partners with the Center Children’s Chorus in promoting vocal music in the community, and the organization focuses on providing performance opportunities for musical artists of all levels, including internships for young adults pursuing their musical career. The Center Chorale and The Center Children’s Chorus are beginning their thirteenth season of performing in San Diego North County.
