North County MMA & Ultimate Fitness offers training in Muay Thai, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi), MMA, boxing, kids martial arts, and functional fitness. The program includes both group sessions and one-on-one personal coaching.

The facility includes over 5000 square feet of training space with a free weights corner, a 12-station heavy bag wall, a boxing ring, a caged octagon, a locker room, and a large roll-up door that opens to E Valley Rd, creating a warehouse training feel. Participants train under professional fighters, Jiu-Jitsu black belts, and certified instructors who have competed at the highest levels, including Jiu-Jitsu world champions and Hall of Fame instructors. The leadership and coaching team includes owners Johnny Hughes and Douglas Shultz, Muay Thai coach Eddie Ledesma, lead boxing instructor Kreed Gentz, and MMA coaches Antonio Marzan and Derek “Barbaric” Anderson.
The program’s stated mission is to provide world-class martial arts training in a welcoming and empowering environment, with a focus on expert instruction, structured programs, and a supportive community for fitness, self-defense, and competition training. Staff credentials include Kreed Gentz’s induction into the Marine Corps Hall Of Fame in 2021 and his certification as an instructor with USA Boxing.
