About the provider

The Escondido Music and Art Company was formed through the partnership of Mathew Rakers and Kevin Capacia, and they opened EMAAC at the start of 2022. The mission is to provide comprehensive high quality music and arts education to students of all ages while supporting a growing network of skilled professional musicians, artists, photographers, and writers. Kevin Capacia has trained students to accomplish the higher levels of Certificate of Merit, and Mathew Rakers has trained students to accomplish the higher levels of Piano Guild. The program lists ABRSM and Piano Guild among instructor credentials. It also offers free monthly recitals, a yearly student art show with live music, and larger art gallery events every six months.

Free monthly recitals are available to students, and students typically start participating in these at the one-year point. The program offers in-studio and in-home lessons. Ask about music adjudications.
