The Escondido Music and Art Company Lessons offers music teaching services along with instruction in art and its various mediums. The program provides both in-home lessons and in-studio lessons. Students can take part in free monthly recitals, a yearly student art show with live music, and larger art gallery events every six months with revolving curators.

The Escondido Music and Art Company (EMAAC) was formed through the partnership of Mathew Rakers and Kevin Capacia. SDMAAC was established by Mathew Rakers in 2014 and Kevin joined SDMAAC in 2017, and EMAAC opened at the start of 2022. Kevin graduated from CSU Long Beach and is a talented pianist, percussionist, and composer. The program’s stated mission is: “TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE HIGH QUALITY MUSIC AND ARTS EDUCATION TO STUDENTS OF ALL AGES WHILE SUPPORTING A GROWING NETWORK OF SKILLED PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS, ARTISTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, AND WRITERS.” EMAAC provides services to the Escondido community at large, is a vendor for the Pacific Coast Academy (PCA) and the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC), and is interested in partnering with nonprofits to throw events that help the community in their 4000 ft location. Free monthly recitals are available to students to develop their performance ability, and students typically start participating in recitals at the one year point.
