Jack London Youth Soccer Sports League (JLYSSL) offers competitive soccer and recreational soccer for youth players. The league presents competitive and recreational soccer matches and also does business as Jack London Youth Soccer League.



For forty years the Jack London Youth Soccer League has presented competitive and recreational soccer matches. The league provides competitive and recreational soccer for more than 7,000 youth players in Oakland, Alameda, and Piedmont and comprises Alameda Soccer Club, Clippers Football Club, East Bay United Soccer Club, Oakland Soccer Club, Oakland Genesis, and Piedmont Soccer Club. Its stated goal is to provide an opportunity for youth players of all skill levels to participate in soccer in a safe, positive environment. JLYSSL clubs are members of Soccer Association for Youth (SAY) and Norcal Premier Soccer, which is a member of US Club Soccer. JLYSSL is a District 4 member of the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) and is affiliated with the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). JLYSSL is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit corporation supported through player registration fees and donations. JLYSSL has Rec Play partnerships with ABSC, Eastshore Alliance, and RUSC, and JLYSSL clubs are members of organizations that are affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The league states that no dogs of any shape or size are ever allowed on Jack London fields, including practices as well as games, with the only exception being registered guide dogs.

The JLYSSL leadership team includes President and Fields Coordinator Tim Lasocki, Vice President Scott MacAskill, Secretary and Discipline Chair Robert Davis, and Treasurer and Oakland Genesis Referee Coordinator Drew Williams. Other listed roles include Referee Coordinators, League Administrator, Match Secretaries, Field Coordinators, Designated Directors, Registrars, Club Directors, Recreation Directors, Executive Directors, Schedulers, and Referee Assignors across the various affiliated clubs and Rec Play partnerships.
