About
The Junior Center of Art and Science offers after-school enrichment with visual arts, creative coding, carpentry, and other classes. It also offers summer camp with 1-week and 2-week full-day camps that include projects led by professional artists and educators in visual arts, fashion design, and more. Saturdays at the LAB is free drop-in programming from 10am to 4pm each Saturday and includes reptile feedings at noon, sensory play and coloring in the Bellevue Room, and viewing the latest gallery exhibit.
Programs
- After-school Enrichment — 6-13 · Enriching classes at the creative oasis on the lake; small class sizes; visual arts, creative coding, carpenty, and so much more.
- Summer Camp — 6-17 · 1 week and 2 week full day camps for ages 6-17; projects led by professional artists and educators in visual arts, fashion design, and more.
- Saturdays at the LAB — Every Saturday 10am-4pm · Free drop-in programming; see reptiles get fed every Saturday at noon; sensory play and coloring in the Bellevue Room; view the latest gallery exhibit.

About the provider
The Junior Center of Art and Science has a mission of inspiring creativity and community through art & science. It also steps into a role as host and convener for the Lake Merritt Stewards Initiative.
- Birthday Parties — 5-12 · $400–$600 · Art parties and science celebrations designed for creatives and explorers aged 5-12.
- Field Trips & Workshops — $250 per session · Calling all Teachers and PTAs; schedule a creative experience for your students either at the center or in your classroom.
- Rent our Space — Creative oasis on the lake for events.
