Quest Taekwondo opened in 2006 in Redondo Beach and has been serving Los Angeles and the South Bay since then, and expanded in 2019 to serve Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, and neighboring cities in Riverside County. The program describes itself as a supportive, tight-knit community with a positive and encouraging environment, flexible scheduling, and family-oriented classes that allow every member of the family to learn Taekwondo, stay fit, and have fun. Quest Taekwondo states that it strongly believes martial arts can be for everyone, including all ages, genders, fitness levels, and experience levels, and that students build discipline, respect, devotion, and confidence while gaining valuable self-defense training and functional fitness that develops skills that transfer into life and could someday save a life.

The instructors are described as decorated Masters, and the Leadership Team consists of Black Belt student instructors. The leadership includes Master Vargas and Master Walter Dean Vargas, and the program is home to a U.S. National Team Coach and former international competitor and Olympic athlete. Quest Taekwondo is also home to several U.S. National Team Members and the Quest Fight Team, which has produced numerous state, national, and international champions, including students who have earned spots on the USAT National Team and medals at the PAN AMS Continental Championship. The program reports 5.0-star ratings from parents of kids and teens as well as adult students, and offers a special free one-week trial.

Quest Taekwondo states that its mission is to go above and beyond in martial arts and in life by equipping students with tools they need to succeed, whether the goal is to earn a black belt, learn self-defense, or develop greater confidence. The program notes community involvement through long-term service to multiple cities and Charter School Partnerships, and it is described by members as well organized and structured with a strong student and parent community.
