Seeds of Joy Village offers a Waldorf-inspired, nature-based early childhood program where children spend their time in creative play, outdoor exploration, and playing together. Children take part in reciting lyrical verses and poems, singing, gardening, exploring nature, and creating art as part of the daily rhythm.
• Ages: 18 months–6 years old
Seeds of Joy Village welcomes children in both Parent/Child classes and a mixed-age class. The program is led by Ms. Amy, Lead Teacher and Director of Seeds of Joy Village. Its mission states that it nurtures young children through a Waldorf-inspired, nature-based approach to early childhood education, with a daily rhythm that weaves together creative play and outdoor exploration. The mission also states that it is based on the conviction that the dignity and individuality of the growing child is foremost, and that each child is met with reverence, respect, and love.
Seeds of Joy Village is a proud affiliate of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN), described as part of an international educational movement that is the largest and fastest-growing independent school movement.
